BRETHREN GO THAT 'EXTRA MILE'

Well - the 2016 Liverpool to London Bike Ride was as previously reported a huge success with all who took part safely home - and no-one went into the canal & all negotiated the London traffic safely.

At the beginning of the ride a fund-raising target of £3000.00p was set which would be donated to the 'R' Charity towards the equipping of one of the individual treatment rooms in the Linda McCartney Cancer Care Centre at the new Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Well the Brethren, family & friends of all those taking part did go that 'extra mile' & together with donations from the West Lancashire Mark Benevolent Fund & The Royal Order of Scotland raised the magnificent total of £6346.02p

On Saturday 10 December those who had participated in the event gathered at a social evening hosted by Temple Lodge 1094 when the final cheque for £2046.02p was presented to Angela McShane of the 'R' Charity.

Angela thanked all concerned for their generosity in giving their time, effort & donations to support the work of the 'R' Charity & in particular the Linda McCartney Cancer Care Centre.

With the magnificent generosity of their supporters, over the last 3 years those that have taken part - be they riders or support team have raised a total of unbelievable total of £17939.02p & this has been distributed as follows:
